After over 1.5 years on a Respironics M Series without data capability I finally asked for a copy of my prescription and placed the order.
Since I already have the humidifier I kept with the same brand and ordered the M Series Auto along with the card reader and software.
I'm really looking forward to reading the data and finding out if my suspicions that I'm at the wrong pressure are correct.
I've read quite a bit on this forum so I know to set the pressure at my prescribed rate and non-auto mode first. After I get enough data I'll start changing the settings and try auto mode.
I'll post back with results in a couple of weeks.
Thanks everyone for your invaluable information!

Re: New Machine On the Way
will be interested to hear, Ive never had the slightest interest in CPAP data, Im afraid but my CPAP still helps me
we may be getting to the stage where a CPAP can tell you whether you have apnea and calculate and adjust it for the pressure you need, so making sleep labs and sleep docs unneccessary

australian, anxiety and insomnia, a CPAP user since 1995, self diagnosed after years of fatigue, 2 cheap CPAPs and respironics comfortgell nose only mask. not one of my many doctors ever asked me if I snored
Re: New Machine On the Way
Got the new machine yesterday and used it last night. Using it in CPAP mode with same settings as old machine. I haven't installed the software and card reader yet but I'm looking forward to getting more detailed info. In the meantime, according to the display my leak rate was 38.1 and AHI was 15.6. No wonder I've thought my therapy wasn't being effective.

Good moves.....
You're now going in the right direction.
Job one is to get your software working and happy.
Job two is to conquer the mask leaks.
Job three is to conquer the mouth leaks.
Job four is to determine what range of pressure is right for you. Jobs one thru three must be conquered before you can win at job four.
Keep us posted.....we'll all try to help
