Eye Flashers and Floaters

Post by tattooyu » Tue May 26, 2009 12:42 pm

I just noticed that I don't get those little pinpricks of flashing light during the day hardly at all any more, now that my therapy is good. Anyone else experience that besides me?

Hmm. Now that you mention it, I don't get the flashes anymore either. Another thing CPAP is good for!

Now floaters, on the other hand, they'll always be around due to my very myopic eyesight.

I meant other the ones in the eyes, not the ones you see around Los Angeles.

I wonder what causes those? BP spikes? Brain scarring?

Hadn't thought about it until I read your post - and now that I think about it, you are right. While not completely gone, both flashes and floaters have greatly diminished. Cool!

An optometrist told me the flashers were caused by sudden low blood pressure. In particular when you stand up.

I still get them. I haven't noticed any difference since starting therapy. But you might be experiencing better blood pressure.

Cheers,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Hello Tattooyu, Just being nosy but where is Valley Village? I grew up in the Valley, Studio City North Hollywood area. Moved here to Mi in 1980 and never heard of Valley Village. Have a good one and I see floaters all the time
