Resmed S8 Elite Question

Is there a way to disable the feature on the S8 Elite that turns the power off automatically after five seconds or so when there is no mask attached?
Although I like this feature, I found with the older machine that blowing air through the hose after cleaning it was the most effective way of drying it out. Any ideas welcome.

Yes. That feature is called SmartStart on your machine. You have to go into the clinical menu to change it.
As you scroll through the various otions and setting, you might want to write everything down before you change anything, in case you need to go back and reset things.

1) Hold the right and down buttons for 3 seconds. The Clinical Menu should come up on the screen.
2) Choose menu by hitting the left button.
3) The screen will now say Settings. Choose enter by hitting the left button.
4) Use the up and down buttons to scroll to reach Smartstart.
5) Choose change by hitting the left button.
6) Use the up and down buttons to change the setting to OFF.
7) When you have it set to OFF, hit the right button to choose exit.
Keep hitting the right button (exit) till you are back to your regular LCD screen.
