Humidifier heating plate bad?

Post by windbreather » Fri May 15, 2009 4:29 pm

I have had my Resmed S8 elite for about 1 1/2 years. Lately I have noticed that when I set the humidifier control to 1, the heating plate isn't warm, but on the rest of the settings, it is hot. I would like some input as to whether or not anyone knows if it needs to be replaced before I contact my DME. I get too much humidity with anything other than 1.
Thanks

It almost sounds as if it's either fully on or off. As well, I don't remember the exact length of the warranty of the humidifier. I would give them a call or bring it in as you should be able to adjust the settings to some extent.
