The Aussie Heated Hose Question

Post by BuffyBeetleBug » Thu May 14, 2009 5:48 pm

Does this hose need to be washed as often as the plain hoses? Also, does it fit the new Intelli machine?

I have not been on this forum for years. I was diagnosed with SA in 2004 and have used a Resmed S8 Autopap machine with the Activa Mask and the Swift pillow system and I still have the old hose from shortly after I was diagnosed. I want to order a new one and was wondering about the cleaning/disinfecting and if it is necessary and what others who have this hose do.

Thanks,

Judy

I've had my heated hose for almost 3 years and Don't clean it anymore at all. I did clean it regularly in the beginning but stopped like 2 yrs ago. Never had anything in it. If you can use a standard hose on your machine you should be able to use this.

Brenda,

Thanks for your input. I guess I get worried about what the bacteria can cause but I think its ok too but I wondered what other people did with theirs.

I appreciate you answering.
