Stomach Sleeping

Actually, the position of your body is probably not as important as the position of your head. Sleeping on your stomach you can sleep with your head to either side, or pushed down with your chin toward your chest, or flat face down in the pillow, or with your chin up and hanging off the back of the pillow. Guess which ones will block your airway the most.
Same with side sleeping. If you curl up, your chin toward your chest in a fetal position, it will partially block your airway, with your chin back it will help keep it open, position of arm under the pillow, under your head, curled under you, etc.
And again with sleeping on your back. Use a big fluffy pillow and you'll push your chin toward your chest again. Using a Posture perfect type pillow like the Swedish Neck pillow of which type is also supposed to open up your throat the most and prevent snoring, will keep your airway more open. Or do you sleep on your back with your head to the side. It can happen.
Point is there are just as many variables because of head position than there are of body position and everything might affect how you breathe.
But now that you're wearing a mask, you also have to worry about where the vent is and if you're blocking it no matter how your position your head and/or body.
