Well I am supposed to go to the DME tomorrow to pick up my Respironics Pro 2! I am excited and can't wait to become an official hosehead! Since I already have one mask (a Respironics ComfortGel, given to me by the sleep tech), I am going to choose a second one to alternate when I need to. I am hoping I can get a Mirage Activa mask, but we'll see! Here's hoping I will no longer be like the goose in my picture - awake while my mate sleeps away! LOL [/img]

Hey, Cat! Welcome to the site. You sound like a very upbeat and optimistic person. I hope you get the help you sound like you're ready to work for. Remember to keep that positive spirit if/when the going gets tough. CPAP is not always easy in the beginning, but it is so worth it when it starts to work. You will definitely be sleeping when your mate does very soon, or your energy level will be so high you won't want to go to sleep.

Let us all know how you are doing. We are all here to help with whatever you need. You'll be amazed at the things some of the people on this site know and how willing they are to help you. Good luck !

Welcome aboard

What a great attitude - treat the problem as an exciting challenge. Well it is worth it.

As a 2 month 'veteran' I am getting to the stage where the mask is becoming part of my face. This is normal it seems & I am glad of it.

You are among friends here & a very knowledgeable bunch at that.

Cheers
