I agree that this Board is a great resource and I am thankful to all of you for being willing to answer all our questions (even though you've answered the same ones OVER and OVER ) and especially to cpap.com for providing this forum. CPAP.COM appears to be a very understanding and helpful organization. I once belonged to a forum operated by a weight loss program that banned many users if their comments were less than supportive of the program. Although some viewed that process as spiteful, it WAS afterall, being PAID FOR by the weight loss program.

It doesn't appear that this would ever be a problem here though, as I believe the comments made are pretty positive, and this forum serves as not only advertizement, but provides potential users with feedback from current users. I am thrilled to get the opportunity to be educated so I can live a longer, and hopefully, healthier life! I can't thank all of you enough! It is great to know there is a place I can go for answers - especially when the docs and DME are less than forth-coming with the answers to my questions!

You are right, this forum is very accepting, accomodating. They let people speak their mind. That's very important. That's what these forums are for, right? Topics can get pretty lively here too. Yet, it's accepted. That's the beauty of topics anyway, IMHO. If a topic subject doesn't appeal to you or annoys you, even, there are so many others to choose from and to enjoy. Cpaptalk has done a wonderful job making people feel welcome. I know. They've made me feel welcome lots of times. Sad to hear about that weight loss forum. I'm assuming it was similar to this one, in that it was a support type of forum. If so, that's sad not to allow frank discussion, even criticisms. Especially in the area of weight loss. Weight loss programs are all controversial anyway. What do they expect? Yes, frank discussions are good.

Macoil,

I agree and am pleased that someone of your mature years has benefitted so much. The wonderful thing about the regulars here is that the great majority support young and old visitors with good grace and warmth.

Cheers
