Pressure adjustment for Sandman CPAP

Post by 1GB » Thu Apr 16, 2009 9:30 pm

How can I set my own pressure on my new Puritan Bennett Sandman. Retailer set wrong pressure.
Couldn't read Dr's handwriting supposedly.

Plug Sandman in or press large bottom right button to turn unit On, but not blowing. Next Press & Hold for 2-3 secs, simultaneously the two smaller arrow buttons above the larger buttons & below the LCD. Next should appear 2 menu choices, Settings Menu is on the Left. Press the smaller top left arrow to choose Settings. This will take you into all the settings that you can adjust. The smaller top arrows take you left or right and add or take away values in each line, and the bottom larger arrows take you up or down to each line. Play around a bit and you'll figure out the navigation.

I MUST stay off my back to reduce OSA & snoring. I use a small backpack of solid styrofoam to keep me on my side (tennis balls too small), & use DIY customized soft foam pillow to keep my head in a side sleeping position to eliminate most OSA.
