New Titration with APAP

Post by tvmangum » Wed Mar 04, 2009 7:56 pm

I found out today that I am going to have another titration except this one is going to be done at home with an APAP. At 14cm, my AHI is still between 10 and 13 after 4 months of therapy. What should I expect from this titration? What happens to my 4 month old CPAP (ResMed Elite II) if I have to switch to an APAP?

Just waiting on the phone call from Apria to get everything rolling.

If it's jsut an at home titration, they will most likely take the apap back and reset your machine with the new pressure. If it is determined that you need an apap, they will make you return your old machine to them(unless you bought it outright). Keep in mind, if the titration shows a pressure need of over 16 you might want to try for a bi-pap. It would likely be more comfortable for you.
