Update:
I am about three weeks into this dental appliance thing. I've been bumping my pressure back up. I was at 15-15 before the appliance and went to 8-15 when I first got it. I slept better than I did on CPAP but I needed it to be better. Currently I am at 11-15 and having some pretty damn good nights, best in a long time.
I got some dental surgery done on Wed and started sleeping poorly. One of the side effects of the anti-biotic they gave men is insomnia. I think I'll move the antibiotic earlier in the day instead of taking one right before bed and see if that helps. My numbers still look excellent so I don't think I'll change anything until I'm off the pills.
Raising the pressure knocked out most of the snores. I'm seeing AHI numbers below 2, very often below 1.
My jaw seems to be adjusting, but it is slow. My dentists wants me to crank this thing out very slowly since my jaw is riding forward and I'm getting some clicking. I find that gum really helps. I pop a piece in first thing in the morning when my jaw is weirdest and it sets it right pretty quickly.
With the increased pressure carrying some of the load I think I can relax and move the thing forward slowly like the dentist wants me too.
So far this thing is working for me. I'm starting to get my hopes up.
