Machine sound? tones!

My machine just tried to communicate with me.
Stepped tones. de-da, de-da, then stopped.
No flashing lights, the display doesn't seem to have changed.
Nothing in the User Manual that matches this alarm.
Any idea what it's trying to tell me? - Mike

is the data card seated properly/ Have you tried the 'unplug and count to ten' strategy?
