ResMed S8 Escape vs. Respironics REMstar Plus

I have an ancient, heavy and loud Respironics CPAP and my Sleep Center recently suggest it that I replace it with the ResMed S8 Escape. Unfortunately, my insurance company will not pay for the Escape, but they will get me a Respironics REMstar Plus. The Respironics REMstar Plus is a heavier and bigger than the ResMed S8 Escape, but I have no idea what the noise difference is between the two models. Has anyone had any experience with either of these machines? Thanks.
