Fatigue returning....

Post by Leinie » Wed Aug 17, 2005 12:45 pm

I have been on CPAP for about 2 months now, and after the initial few weeks of getting used to the mask, I have been doing pretty well. I sleep about 7-8 hours a night. I wouldn't say I felt rested, but I am definitly not fatigued like before. I stopped falling asleep when watching tv at night and I stopped feeling like I need a nap everday.

The last week, I have had a hard time waking up and have been more and more tired during the day. I feel like I am going backwards, but I don't think anything has changed.

Any suggestions?

Interesting situation.

Are you able to bump up your pressure one point & see if there is a difference ?

I noticed that when I lowered my pressure, I got fewer leaks & aerophagia but was noticably slower the next day. I went from 15 down to 12 & back up.

I now have my machine set to 14.5 - 16.5 on AUTO. Prior to this was in CPAP mode.

Cheers

Interesting thought. I have a Fischer&Paykel 221 (I think 221 not positive). Does anyone know how to change the pressure? I got mine from a DME and have no manuals.

Thanks.

Leinie, I think that you need to make a new post in order to get a quick response for the information you need on how to change your machine's pressure. Take care!
