data erasure

Post by granti55 » Tue Feb 17, 2009 9:57 am

Hi there: I have a Resmed S8 Elite and I was wondering after you have erased the data ie. run hours days ran etc. if there is any way of getting them back? The data on the machine display was accidentally erased. It zeroed everything, except run hours in the servicing mode. Is there a way of getting them back?

Nope. Not to my knowledge. Not if you answered Yes on the LCD screen by pressing the Left button.

After almost 2 years on a Resmed w/the software I FINALLY realized that IF you want to keep ALL your Detailed data then it is wisest to download your data card to two different files. One should be an every 4-5 days download (w/the Elite) or every 2 days (w/the VPAP Auto) download to a dated file, i.e. February 17 09, and the other to a continuous file, i.e. this is the one I enter my personal data, including device and serial number, etc. The "dated" files I use the month as the surname and the day, i.e, Seventeen Oh Nine ,as the given name.

When I switched to ResScan my AutoScan which had always been a "continuous" file could NOT be imported into ResScan because it was too large and we couldn't figure out a way to break it into smaller files that could have been imported.

Women are Angels. And when someone breaks our wings, we simply continue to fly.....on a broomstick. We are flexible like that.
My computer says I need to upgrade my brain to be compatible with its new software.
