Wow, I can hardly believe it, but I've now been a hosehead for 4 years!!! Shazbot!!
I've got to give the majority of the credit for my success to this site and the folks here that are sooooooooo helpful and caring. Thank you one and all (you know who you have been and are now! Too many to name, but I want to be sure to mention our grand guru, rested gal by name since she's soooooooooo darn helpful and has been here since the site started and sleepguy whose products have helped my rest almost as much as the cpap). Also, thanks, Johnny, for hosting the site and having the greatest place online to buy cpap supplies!
Anywho, as far as positive changes: More energy (don't fall asleep at work anymore), better attitude, I actually spend time with my family on the weekends instead of sleeping from Friday afternoon till Monday morning (and still felt like cr@p), and meeting the awesome folks here at cpaptalk.
No, I haven't lost tons of weight, no, my blood pressure hasn't magically fallen to 110/70, no, my cholesterol and triglycerides aren't down below 100, no my Type II diabetes hasn't disappeared, no, I'm not 4" taller and more handsome. But I've finally talked my Dr. into changing my Type II meds so I am actually losing weight now. We got a Wii for Christmas and the Wii Fit system that actually makes exercise bearable (almost, but not quite fun!) and I've been on it now for almost 2 months.
Life has definitely improved every year. For all you new folks, keep at it! It really DOES get easier.
Anywho, just thought I'd share my anniversary with ya'll.

Kajun
congrats & good going - another stayed with it success story
I think I clock up 4 years sometime in the middle of this year.
Interesting that so many of us just keep coming back to cpaptalk - I know I always believed
I owed the site a lot for what I have learned & most of the manuals I have on my site
came from RestedGal.

Kajun, you're right...it's hard to believe 4 years have gone by this quickly!
You encouraged many new users with your great attitude and helpful posts right from the get-go. No wonder you're a "cpap success" (even if no taller! )
Congrats!

Re: Four Years And Going Strong!
Four years - does that make you an oldtimer? the voice of experience? qualified to tell stories of 'back in the day' when cpaps had hand cranks?
Just kidding of course, since my anniversary is just a few months behind yours, and I'm not old by anybody's time! Congratulations on another milestone, Kajun.

Hey Kajun!
Congratulations on your passing another milestone. I'll be there (4 yrs.) in three more months.
Good to see you're still kickin'.
Please feel free to come around more often.

And 4 years for me soon too. Back in those day, I was such a newbie, and they were making a party of posters' having reached a 1000 posts...
Another happy breatheday to you, TxKajun.
