Autos: leaks & UARS

Post by gracie97 » Sun Aug 14, 2005 2:17 am

Do autoPAP machines respond to interface leaks by raising or lowering pressure?

How well do autoPAP's deal with UARS? Am wondering if their algorithms are designed to deal with apnea and might be confused when UARS is more significant.

Is there anything to look out for when buying or using an auto for mainly UARS?

Hi gracie97.

Wow! What a great question! This fascinating subject has been addressed in a few past threads. The best way to find them is using the Search function and enter keyword: UARS while also entering Author: -SWS for the most succinct information.
Here's a really good one. Click on this: UARS Obstructions
