I wanted to share a victory with my insurance company/DME. I wanted a battery back for my CPAP machine and did not want to spend the $500.00 bucks. After a long struggle with the insurance company and DME I have my battery back for my 20% copay. I guess my advice would be do not give up and just because they say no they are not always correct. Know what you are entitled to and fight for you rights.

I am waiting for authorization for a new machine and a battery pack from CHAMPVA.

We lose our electric about 4 to 5 times a month for about 8 hours at a time. This is a medical necessity.
