Respironics has a 12V DC Power Cord available for the M Series, and then you can plug it into anything with a lighter socket. Respironics also offers a battery pack, but it isn't the only option. CPAP.com sells another option, as does batterygeek.net. Plus there are devices from a whole variety of other manufactures (such as Duracell or Xpower)...but the trick is figuring out if you have enough capacity (at least the CPAP targeted options can give you estimates).

You can also get an adapter to add a lighter socket to a battery, and use some sort of automotive or like battery...probably a deep cycle kind.

I don't know if I'm at the point where I'd want to invest in something like this, though personally I'd probably go for a packaged solution than cobble something together around a car battery....plus I don't think I could take a car battery (and such) on an airplane.

The Dreamer.

For camping with the Boy Scouts I got a Resperonics battery pack that weighs 13 lbs, and a Resperonics cord, from cpap.com.

It works excellent and I can get a solid full 3 nights of sleep on it!

They have a much lighter weight 1 night battery, but I knew I would not be able to plug it in to charge every day.

If you need it for several nights, you can consider a marine deep cycle battery. The one I looked at weighed 43 lbs!

My pressure is set 7 - 12. The ad states, "M-series set at 12 cm H2O -- 26 hours". You can go the customer reviews at cpap.com to read reviews by different users experience at different pressures. I actually think I got thru most of a 4th night and found it dead when I tried it for a 5th night. I believe it will serve you for 3 nights fine, however it's impossible to say for sure since it could vary say if you stayed at 13 all night! I am very pleased with this product. Be sure to get the "bundle" that comes with a cord to fit your machine. If you have any questions, call cpap.com. If you are going camping in very cold weather, consider taking along some peel and stick foot warmers, you can stick them inside a jacket and tent your machine to temper the intake air. (I found sucking in even 45 deg. air was too cold!) Have fun on your camping trip.

I'm considering this one for hurricane season. How many hours do you get at your pressures?

I use it for 8 hours with a pressure setting of 12.5, in auto mode so pressure increases up to 17.5 some nights for brief periods, might run for an hour or longer at 14 or 15. And, I don't use any heat on my humidifier. I'm not really sure how long the power would last, since I've always recharged it after one night's use. Sorry, I guess that's not too helpful. Their website does provide charts, I believe, that give you approximate hours of use at different pressures.

Thanks. I've looked at the charts, but wasn't sure how that compared to actual usage. SInce I have an IPAP of 10-14, and an EPAP of 6, I expect I ought to be able to get the two nights they claim out of it. If the power ain't back in two days, I'm going to where there IS power.

Wonder how this compares to the Respironics 3 night one?
