Confused about apap and Bi pap

Post by jayvee » Fri Aug 12, 2005 11:53 pm

I have been on a Resmed auto Spirit apap with pressure set from 6-15.
At this setting I was experiencing AHI of over 23. I have raised my lower pressure to 10. Last night my results showed that the pressure peaked at 15. My AHI was also around 15.

Should I try raising my upper pressure. Should I be considering a BI PAP machine

JV,

How is you leak graph? Mask/mouth leaks can make it difficult for auto-paps to catch many apneas. I have found when I had a higher leak level I also had a higher residual AHI.
