Question about AHI reporting in encore pro software

Post by boston » Mon Jan 26, 2009 4:57 pm

I have the date range adjusted to just show the 1 night of data.

When viewing the reports, for instance last night my average AHI on page 3 (sleep therapy long term trend page) shows average AHI 2.0.
On page 4 (sleep therapy daily details) it shows AHI 0.4
On page 5 (summary of daily details) it shows total AHI 0.4
On page 6 (summary of compliance) it shows average AHI 2.0

I am confusing my self here as to which numbers are what, I probably need a whack with that 2x4 to make me see clearly.

WHACK! WHACK!

My advice is to ignore the Long Term Trend report for AHI. It rounds things up to the next highest number. For example, if you had ANY apneas or hypopneas and your Daily was a 0.1, it will give you a 1.0 on either or both charts. The only things regarding AHI that you CAN go by are the Daily Details Reports

Actually in dealing with Encore Pro, you need to think about the math the programmers at Respironics never took.

It begins with about 4th grade arithmetic and btw they didn't do well in 3rd grade arithmetic but had an easy grader for a teacher.

I ONLY, look at the Dailies, All the info I need is there. I don't need 90%'s or anything else, just what when and where. Jim
