Remstar pro 2

I have a remstar pro with c-flex and smart card, I asked for a Remstar Pro 2 with c-flex and smart card, does anybody know the different model numbers for the pro versus the pro 2 machines?? Mine is a model 1005961 Ser 2842297. Tx Walt

Part of the model designation has to do with which firmware level that's in it.
I got mine new in April of 2005 and it had firmware level 2.5 in it. I sent it into the factory in Sept. of 2006 to have a little "wheeze" noise fixed in the C-Flex blower (before the warranty ran out).....it came back with firmware level 2.7 in it.

Model Number: 1020326 (original firmware level 2.5)
Model Number: 1020926 (firmware was changed to 2.7 by Respironics 09/06)

There is one thing that I don't like about the 2.7 firmware.....it drops 10 minutes from the beginning of recording each time you start it up (or if your nightly potty trip takes longer than 3 minutes). I figured out how to get around that, but it's an inconvenience that takes a few minutes......I wish they'd have left 2.5 in there.

So, you can see that the model designation changed when it came back. Beyond that, I don't know what other numbers are in that model sequence.

The plain Pro models didn't have data capabilities, but the Pro 2's did.

If you got a pro tank not a pro 2 tank you have, even though there is a smart card with the pro I understand, it is NOT fully data capable.

My Pro 2 (since we are posting model numbers) is 1021345 and it says Pro 2 Lincare on the label. It doesn't drop the 10 minutes (my APAP tank does). My serial number is tons higher too - 397xxxx.

My Pro 2 is:

Serial Number: 3610XXX
