Software questions
Ok, I guess I'll never find out the necessary nightly information about AHI/leaks etc from the kind of doctors I have. Maybe its me, maybe its them, maybe my insurance doesn't pay them enough for them to give me quality treatment......But one thing I realize is that I'm going to have to take matters into my own hands if I want to be informed so I decided that I'll have to buy the software which will give me the nightly information about what's going on while I'm using my Respironics BiPap Auto.................
What do I need to buy? Where do I buy it? How do I install it? How do I use it? Do I need a printer? (I don't have one) Will this work with a 2004 computer?
Thanks to all who answer.

Re: Software questions
If you don't have to print it for your doc/dme... then you don't need a printer.
Should work with the 2004 computer... but it's more about the operating system.
what you'll need is encore viewer and a card reader (mako DT3500). CPAP dot com sells them as a package. Or sometimes they are for sale on here or cpapauction dot com.

How do I hook the viewer and card reader to my computer?
Re: Software questions
The card reader plugs into a USB port although ther was a serial port version but I have not seen it in a while. Viewer comes on a CD and is installed like any program. As cflame1 said a lot depends on the operating system your computer is using to access everything. Viewer will run on Windows XP and Vista 32 bit. I am not sure but I tried Encore Pro 1.8 on Windows 98SE and it would not run. Some of the older versions of Encore Pro might run on Windows 98 but you would have to find someone that has upgraded and might be willing to let the older version go but you would have to make sure that the older version would read your machine. Some of the older versions will not read the "M" Series machines.
You do not need a printer. I very seldom print my reports unless I want to take a copy to my Doc who does not have the program to read my card.
