Swift LT Fit Magic
Hi All,
I stumbled upon something the other night (well, aside from tripping) that I thought would be helpful - if not already obvious to everyone else.
More often than not i get a perfect, leak free fit with my nasal pillows, sometimes not so much - especially after rainout or if i used too much ayr gel.
the solution i found seems to work well, and i think it would work for the liberty as well though i've only tried mine for .03 seconds - here goes:
1) Keep the LT as loose as possible while it stays where you want it to - in other words, nearly the least amount of pressure possible on the top and back of your head
2) now for the "magic part" - with your machine running, gently pull the whole front forward about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch, and then let it gently seat itself - i get a perfect fit every time!
3) your results may vary. if i think i have a leak, i also squeeze the pillows (outside of my nose, of course) to make sure the inner wall didn't collapse, or to bring it back up if it did
this has worked well for me, hope it helps others!!!!!

Re: Swift LT Fit Magic
Thanks for the suggestion. I love my swift LT and haven't had much trouble getting a seal but do get strap/mask lines on my face because I have the pillows cinched down pretty hard. I will try to loosen the reins a little and see if that helps.
Re: Swift LT Fit Magic
Only trouble I have with the LT is that I get a soreness where my ear attaches to my head because of the strap's irritation. I think my ears are attached too high on my head. So what I do a lot is to switch back and forth between my Ultra Mirage and my LT. So far, I use the Ultra more often.

Packitin,
I loosen the top straps enough for the straps to overlap the top of my ears so they won't hurt where my ears attach to my head. The back strap then fits on the lower part of my head. Readjust, readjust.
Only problem for me with that sometimes I wake up in real pain from pressure on my ears, so I don't know how long that's going to last.

I get that too! It usually goes away after a few minutes, but it concerns me.Violet wrote:Packitin,

SheZAAM,
IIt is serious pain that gradually goes away. Once I e-mailed an on-line medical website and this is a partial response I got.
Ear Pain While Sleeping - I don't know why you have this problem, but I can tell you that you are not alone, and I can also tell you what you can do about it. Some people are exquisitely sensitive to pressure on the ears. In many cases, there is just one particular spot on one ear that gets tender. In your case, both ears are prone to this problem.
The solution to the problem depends upon your craftiness. Some people fashion sleeping caps with foam-rubber rings sewn into the fabric. The rings fit around the ears, so that the ears are cushioned when sleeping on them. It may be difficult to get used to wearing such a contraption, so you may want to try something a bit simpler.
