Hi All,
I bought a spare machine, and trying it last night, it seemed to smell like cigarette smoke to me - like it was owned by a smoker. the filter doesn't smell like smoke to me. the odor won't knock you over, but it's not making me love it.
i considered pur-sleep or similar, but i think that would only mask the smell.
i considered running the machine with a mask but not on me for a few hours to try to get the air moving and the smoke molecules out - does anyone have any suggestions? white vinegar near the machine? something else?
I don't want to spray febreeze or similar near the air intake - though i'd consider it. thanks for any help!
spare machine smells like cigarette smoke - help!

Many thanks - i hadn't searched for desmokifying but there was good stuff in that thread.
i have a number of ionizers - i'll see about running the machine near one, and saturating a tissue near the air intake seems like another option.
at least the machine was cheap, but if i knew it was from a smoker i'd not have bought it. thanks again, and happy new year!!!!!
