I almost sneezed last night while wearing my Swift. I kind of panicked...I didn't want to sneeze so I just tried to talk myself out of it...it worked. I guess I'll have to face sneezing all over my mask at some time.
Hope you feel better.

Wow, how do you even breathe thru the nose when you have a cold? I always used to resort to Afrin (a big no-no I know) I finally resorted to a full face mask cause my nose was stuffy ALL the time (and of course, because my jaw always pops open when I fall asleep) Strange...since I got it, my nose isn't that stuffy any more

You treat a cold the same way with a Cpap as you do without it. Except the CPAP will get you over the cold faster. Be sure to use a nasal decongestant, not one of the otc ones if you can help it. Might have to double dose with your Prescription one. take a decongestant pill at night, one with a cough suppressant/expectorant if you have that problem too, and maybe an antihistimine. Dose yourself about 1/2 to 1 hour before bedtime. Crank up the heat on your humidifier and dose away. The heated water will help the chest and nasal congestion. Remember how Mommy used a humidifier in your room by your bed when you were a little kid with a cold?

And you don't need to use a full face mask. Just use the stuff mentioned above. If you can't breathe through your nose, cold or not you are going to be misearble anyway.. Treat the symptoms, keep using your regular mask, drink plenty of fluids to help keep any mucous thin and your body well hydrated, and get plenty of rest. Take a nap if you feel tired (with your CPAP and humidifier). I think you'll find yourself feeling better a lot quicker than you did without CPAP and your cold will be gone much quicker, too.

I found none of that ever worked I am pretty sensitive to cold medication and when i took antihistamines, I'd lay there like this:
