I would try to change the pressure range - make it much wider - just to see of the machine is responding properly to anything at any pressure.

And alternative - would be to get a loaner machine from a DME and to compare how the machines function and how you feel.

I will mention that to the doctor. I'm getting another sleep study this week because I also have cataplexy symptoms so they are suspecting I might have narcolepsy. I just kinda doubt it myself, but we'll see. I'll try setting a wide range and see what it does. I used to have it on a wider range and it seemed to work ok, but I found it would be too sensitive and would annoy me by ramping up and up and not coming back down fast enough.

Ok now that I thought about it a bit, the machine does seem to have weak pressure at times. I wasn't sure if it was just that I was used to it or what, but I have woke up several times and thought it had turned itself off but it was running. The CFLEX doesn't seem to respond all the time either. Would the DME be able to check the machine and see if it's running correctly?

Depends on the intelligence and training of your DME. They SHOULD be able to check it with a manometer.

Having the machine's pressure checked is an excellent idea, because of how you feel when everything looks so good.

Many of us experience getting used to the machine through waking up with this "hey, is this thing working" feeling. When the machine is OK, placing your the hand in front of the vent (an inch or two away) settles that issue usually.

I suggest that even if the manometer shows the right pressure, the results of running the machine with a wide open range for one night can be informative - we'll see if it identifies event to respond to, if it responds, and at what pressures all this happens.

It stands to reason a faulty machine (one which can't identify events) will show an error message - but I would still want to check that, and not trust to reason.
The results may also show if your pressure is right. Theoretically (i.e. based on my thinking, not my knowledge) the pressure may simply be slightly too high for comfort.
