A benefit of the Hybrid mask I mentioned and linked above, is that you are sent a package which includes all of the several sizes of mouth mask and all of the several sizes of the nasal pillows. This allows for many different combinations of sizing, which is a real plus if you are purchasing the mask without ever having been able to try it out ahead of time. As has been said numerous times, one cannot choose a great mask for oneself on the basis of rave reviews by anyone else. There are just too many variables in the shape and size and configuration of our faces.

The Liberty is just a backup just in case I do get a cold and cannot breathe through my nose.
DreamStalker, Thanks you have answered the question I had in mind I wanted to know which one you had selected. From the msg I quoted, I thought you did not select any FF since you did not like any at all... Thanks. Do you kindly provide a url to your Liberty? I always check this, because in the past I had gone down the wrong path with an approximate name not knowing the exact model number. Thanks.

You will need to determine what size oral cushion to use large or small. The nasal pillows do not matter since each mask comes with all three sizes (L,M,S).

I would also not discount trying out the Hybrid. Although they are very similar in design, there are enough minor differences that one may fit and/or seal better than the other depending on the shape of your face. Hybrid is not as quiet as the Liberty IMO but everyone is sensitive to different pitch of air sound and also a function of how you route hose (air vents are located differently for each mask).

Swift LT user selects Liberty as FF backup

Well, based on all the feedback here, I looked at 3 masks, Innomed Hybrid, Resmed Quatro and Resmed Liberty. I bought the Liberty as my backup. Here is my quick short review.

All had similar problems with leak when I put pressure on the cheek, as in side sleeping. To me this side leak was similar for both Liberty and Hybrid. Liberty was the quietest, I liked its air flow direction, and the large number of holes making 'out port fine control possible'.

Most of the following is mainly about the Liberty, since I tried the others only for a short time at the DME's. I do not like the thicker connecting tubes (compared to the thin one of Swift LT) of any of them. One of them had no connecting tube at all, you attach the cpap hose directly. I feel the thicker hoses tend to give more pull/push and more leaks. I do not know at least why Resmed did not go to the same size thinner tube as their LT, perhaps LT is a later improved design.

I do not like the Liberty's stiff plastic pieces part of the head gear near the mask. I think they would cause more leaks on side sleeping, than they were simple straps.

I have really not used this overnight yet. But in less than a day, I am already deconstructing this one. I have replaced the connecting tube with a thinner and longer tube. I am thinking of completely redesigning the headgear. If anything I try becomes more useful in my opinion, I shall post all that here, probably in a new thread. I really do not wish to spend a lot of energy on improving this one, since it would be my back up for a 'cold day' and I do not want to invite any cold in

thanks for the new review! I too found the liberty very nice and quiet.
The liberty has a thin tube, so i'm not sure what you mean with the thick tube (I dont have a swift so maybe that's even thinner than the liberty tube?)? But I do agree that a direct connection to the CPAP hose makes for more weight and resistance, causing more leaks and general annoyance.
I'll be looking forward to your mods As soon as I get my new liberty (in 2 weeks), I might also give the deconstruction/mods a try.

Yes, the Liberty has a smaller dia connecting tube than a regular cap tube; and also it is more flexible. But the Swift LT's connecting tube is even smaller in diameter than that of the Liberty's and is much more flexible.
