Chest Congestion & Sore Throat

Post by Sleepy Boy » Fri Dec 05, 2008 3:10 pm

I have my heat setting on 2 1/2 -3 now all of a sudden I'm getting congested with sore throat. I dont have a cold. I recently started taping my mouth shut at night. I wear a chin strap, but have always breathed through my mouth a little in the night. Now I'm not. and I wonder if thats causing the sore throat & congestion problems?? Thanks, Larry...

This could just be a coincidence and be acid reflux that burned your throat and you may have inhaled some of it causing phlegm to be produced?

Thanks Browser, no I dont have any acid reflux problems. I think I'll try turning it down to 1 tonight to see if that helps.

That sounds like a good plan, Sleepy Boy. And you might find some helpful thoughts in jconnor123's thread entitled "Sick all the time." Good luck!
