Now that I've been using software (Encorepro and Derek's Myencore), I am able to see things that I hadn't before. One thing I am looking at, though, and don't quite understand is the Daily Leak Report on Myencore. What is considered an "acceptable" leakage number and at what number do you say, "Hey, this mask is leaking far too much"? Does anyone have the answer to that?
Also, what about the snore index? I don't even understand what that is telling me. What are the acceptable numbers or at what number can you be happy with?
Does someone out there who has been using ths software know the answer to either? I'd appreciate some help on this one. Thank you .
MyEncore "Acceptable" Leakage Number?

Re: MyEncore "Acceptable" Leakage Number?
I don't have the same machine (Autoset Spirit is mine) but, I don't understand the numbers either. .28 L/S was my number for last night, and I have NO idea what that means *shrug*
.28 "leaks per second"???
.28 "leaks per second"???
Hello,
The search function can be your friend... Here is a cut and paste from a response by "mikemoran" ...
---------------------------------------------------
My Spirit shows my leak rate and also shows an evaluation of the rate. For example anythign less than .1 is considered an excellent mask seal. Less than .4 L/s is a very good seal all the way up to poor mask seal. You should expect some mask leak and if it is not leaking from there it leaking through your mouth by mouth breathing.
The good news is your Respond is an Autopap and it adjusts for minor leaks. Based on your reading you are getting a good mask fit and are getting full therapy.

Hope this answer's your questions

Sorry sleepless, did not mean to confuse. My response was more for Barb with the Autoset Spirit. I have the Respond which reports the same data (at least for leaks anyway). So in the case of the Respond/Spirit a good goal is <.1l/s - I think that is "liters per second" but I'm not sure.
Most nights my reading is 0.0 so I guess I'm not experiencing too many leaks.
For your encore readings, refer to the other post "guest" left
