Got my reader and Encore Pro - Question

Post by SnoozeButton » Mon Dec 01, 2008 4:27 pm

So now I've got my Smart Card Reader and Encore Pro and I want to download my data. I noted that I can have the compliance data left on the card, but I am wondering if the rest of the data will also remain or only the compliance data. I would like to let my DME think that they are the only ones getting all the data. One reason being so that I can counter them with my own info if need be and the other being if they are truly going to send a report to my doctor, frankly I truly think all they will really care about will be compliance data, but just in case. So, can someone tell me if all the data remains on the card if I download it, but don't erase it? Also, can they tell it has been downloaded? I don't really care so much if they can, just wondering. If they are being sneaky I want to be sneakier.

You have to set the option to keep the data on your card in Preferences BEFORE you download or by default it will erase the data without even asking you. Early in the game it prob won't matter so much.

As long as you leave the data on the card they won't be able to tell if you have also downloaded.

Good Luck,

Open Encore Pro,
Click on Preferences at the top right hand of the page,
Scoll to "System Settings",
Place a check mark in Prompt to "Keep Compliance Data on SmartCard after Download" after a download,
Click Apply at the bottom of the page, then click ok and that should do it...
Hope this helps!

Gumby and SleepyNoMore have told you right. SNM's instructions are correct for how to set Encore Pro to leave all the data intact.

Thank you all! I've got it all set up and just looked at my data - very interesting. Therapy seems to be going well. I did note one night that didn't seem to go as well as the others. It is nice to be able to see exactly how the night went rather than an average.
