The higher C-flex setting (3) is supposed to make it easier to exhale, yes. But try all three C-flex settings to see which one feels better to you. Even though C-flex at "3" gives more drop in pressure when you start to exhale, a lesser C-flex effect can feel smoother to some people. I like " 3 " myself.

What is the full name of your machine? The name of the machine will be written on the top and will begin with the word "Respironics."

If it's an M series autopap, it will be one of these..which one is it?

1. Respironics REMstar Auto (that one has only C-flex in it.)

or

2. Respironics REMstar Auto | A-Flex (that one has both C-flex and A-flex in it.)
ResMed S9 VPAP Auto (ASV)
Humidifier: Integrated + Climate Control hose

Wars arise from a failure to understand one another's humanness. Instead of summit meetings, why not have families meet for a picnic and get to know each other while the children play together?
