thank you for the setup instructions
thank you for the setup instructions
Thank you to whoever it was that posted the instructions for how to access the setup display for the REMstar auto w/c-flex. This enabled me to make use of a friend's spare machine and set it to my required pressure. It made little sense to me why I had to visit a DE to have the pressure and settings done by them, and as my insurance wasn't going to pay for the equipment while I was out of state for several months, it was so helpful to me to be able to do it myself. The nose mask my friend sent on actually fits and is tolerable. I have just begun to go through your archived information and dip into other posts, and have learned a stunning amount already. So thanks to you all for the generosity of spirit you display here. Question -- I don't have a card/software to go with this machine, I wonder if it's a good idea to try to buy a used one? Clearly I want the data the machine can provide but I understand it is not a current machine any more. I am hoping for some good sleep soon; it's been only a week and have managed a couple or three hours a night with the mask on before I take it off, but I read here that it can take a while. Regards -- a new hosehead.

Glad to hear you found the information you were looking for. Most all of the setup directions for almost every (relatively current) machine have been posted (many times) and/or links to other sites where they're also available.
I would say that the card reader and software are well worth the investment. I have several of those models and hope to continue using them for many years. They do what they need to do (blow air) and gather pertinent data. That's all I need to use this therapy and tell me that it's working properly.
