GAls and Guys
I want to share
I love the Swift Lt mask However my AHI's have risen and I am having more
OS. Our goal here is to lower the AHI's not up them.
So my experiment was to connect the Opus 2 and see what is the difference
between the two. Airflow for me came to mind. The Swift Lt airflow wasn't
the same and made it feel harder to breathe.
Now the Swift Lt has a smaller diameter hose than Opus. The Nasal cushion air
openings are also smaller. One member here cut theirs open. Not happening for me.
The Dme told me small Humph do I have to agree No So Yes I did
I switched cushions and they are much easier to breathe with. I don't feel like
I holding my breather now.
Tonight will tell the tale. Less AHI's I hope, I had better readings when I first began this whole new adjustment to my lifestyle.
I took you all advice and got software to monitor my therapy and the instruction PAGE to change my own pressures..
Which the min has gone from 4.0 to 6.0 my tritration pressure.
Thank-you all for being here.

Yep, I love it, too! Saved (or at least lengthened!) my life since I found it, learned about data, auto machines . . . My AHI was typically 9.0 when I first started viewing my data, now it averages 0.4. Knowledge IS power!

Re: I love this forum
Moombeam, I get MUCH reduced AHI on the Mirage Activa than the Swift II. No idea why, but definitely is a fact.

Hello Moonbeam and WELCOME!
I use nasal pillow masks as well.
I have the Comfort Lite 11, the headrest, the Swift 11, and also had the Swift Lt !
My 2 very favorites are the Headrest and the Swift 11, I also had issues with the difference in AHI's, I think the Headrest
by far has the lowest leaks and lowest AHI's for me but I do have to keep putting them back in my nose all night (the nasal pillows) that is ...
I think it also depends on how tight/losse you have the straps, the tighter my mask straps the more it seems to constrict the air flow so ya just really need to tweak with those straps until you get it perfected!
It's funny, for a year I have been wearing the size Medium nasal pillows for my Swift 11 and last week I decided to try the Small and by golly, it worked better for me than the Medium, my nose dosen't blow up as big either, oink-oink
We're glad you found our forum, get ready to learn alot here, it's a great place with very knowledgeable members and the Staff is awesome, you might want to visit https://www.cpap.com if you need any future supplies.
