Re: Nap question
It doesn't matter, but it would cause more wear and tear on the card & reader. If you don't you may have to read the card sooner to get full details. It might not hold the full seven days of data due to the extra sessions. Jim

Re: Nap question
I remove mine when I nap. It makes a new session and the short time frame makes the numbers average different. I did have a 2nd card for a while that I put in and had a different patient file called "Jerry Naps" that I would load it in.

Re: Nap question
I always leave my card out for naps. I take it out in the morning to put the data on my computer and do not put it back in until bedtime (or sometime later in the day), even though I nap several times a week.
I'm really only interested in the the night time data.
To help me remember to put it in when I go to bed, I make it a part of my preparation - top off the humidifier water, get hose and mask ready and run my finger down the back of the machine to be sure the smart card is there (sometimes I put it right in after my nap to be ready). If it's not there I know it's in the computer room right beside the card reader.
I have forgotten to put it back once or twice!

Re: Nap question
Honestly, that is your call. Naps will increase the number of sessions which I believe to be the cause of "Missing Data". If you are not tracking your 'daily detailed info' then it's no big deal. The compliace details do show up, it's just the details that don't.DoriC wrote:Is it best to remove the Smart Card for naps? Thanks.
I now use a 2nd card for anything more than 2 sessions each day. But that has caused me to forget to put the right card back in.
If you don't do more than 2 sessions/day AND download at least every 3 days, you prob wouldn't even notice a problem.
