I have just upgraded from an older Autoset to the newer model. I have noticed that the pressure readings are higher. However, I am unclear about what the comparable figure is, as I get contradictory results depending on where I look.
I am set up for"Smart Data" and this is showing one figure (typically around 11.0 cm). I can also look at the "efficacy data" (from the clinical menu) and this always seems to be higher (say around 11.8 cm). One of these is probably the 95 percentile figure and corresponds to the parameter on my old machine, but which?
And why are they different?

Resmed S8 Autoset II - Pressure data contradiction
Re: Resmed S8 Autoset II - Pressure data contradiction
I think I can answer my own question, following a careful look at the results in ResScan.
The result you see in efficacy data is the 95 percentile figure for "therapy pressure".
On the other hand, the result shown in smart data is the 95 percentile figure for "average pressure"
Both figures are shown in the ResScan graphs. As far as I can work out, the difference is because I have EPR turned on. The "therapy pressure" gives the inhale level, while the "average pressure" is measured across the whole breathing cycle.
I should emphasis that this is all something I have worked out and I could be wrong! But it seems to fit the data.
