Mask marks-need it tight to stop leaks
I have been using a nasal mask for about 6 months or so. I have now started mouth breathing constantly. I chose a Quattro Small Full Face Mask and it leaked alot. I had to tighgten the straps so much to stop the leaks that my face was being squashed so bad that I had dents within moments. I use pad a cheeks so the straps are not a problem. I didn't have any luck with the Soyala FF, UMFF. The FP431 was so so. Has anyone tried the zzz, Hans Rudolph 7600 or FP 432. Does anyone have a small in any of these that they would be willing to trade sell or test drive??? PLease let me know. I am current w/o cpap!!

Did you do the "Teflon tape fix" to the Quattro? If you didn't, that would probably explain why it felt like it leaked so much. It leaks out of the elbow in front of the mask and "FEELS" like it's leaking EVERYWHERE.Guest wrote:I have been using a nasal mask for about 6 months or so. I've tried the Zzz FF mask and it didn't work for me.....in my opinion, it was a bad design.
The only two that have worked for me are the UMFF and Quattro. However, they need to be properly sized and adjusted.....not too tight and not too loose (or they WILL leak).

I have tried the Hans Rudolph 7600 v2 but it didn't work for me -- leaked around the nose no matter how tight it was. I know there are people out there who like the HR and hopefully they'll weigh in.
I am using the FP 432 and it's the best I've found so far. It leaks a little around my eyes and under my chin when I move, but that usually resolves when I stop moving. I like the part that goes underneath my chin. It's more comfortable to me than one which puts pressure between my lips and chin. The 431 is very similar, but does fit a bit differently.
I'd see if your DME has samples so you can try them before buying...ours will do this with the limited number of masks they normally carry and the 432 is one of them.
Good luck!
