Better results from my DME

Post by boston » Wed Oct 29, 2008 3:44 pm

I called my DME and told them my allergies had me so stuffed up that I couldnt use my nasal mask (and people I work with were telling me Ive been extra grouchy), and that I wanted to try a full face mask. They just said come on in and well set you up. I stopped in today, they fitted me for a comfortgel full face mask, and I was in and out in like 5 minutes. Didnt charge me anything, just wished me luck that this one will help. I think the key was I got ahold of a different person this time, the last person I talked to was just like, oh well, deal with it. Now when I call or go in, I know who to ask for.
Maybe my DME supplier isnt the devil, they just employ him.

Sounds like a good visit. I hope the Comfortgel works for you. I like mine well enough, but am still struggling with getting the right balance on the fit. I'm either having a leak or two, or the mask is so tight it gives me sore spots. Good luck!
