Two cents from the Peanut Gallery.

(You know I can't keep up with your Tech-Speak threads, so I skipped to the end.)

Sorry if someone else has mentioned this, but I THINK you can get a pretty quick test at your Primary doc's office to see if your heart is malfunctioning. I complained of past chest pains to the doc once, and she scrambled and put me on some monitoring device for a few minutes, then came back and said my heart didn't show evidence of anything abnormal. Can't hurt to ask your doc about this. Someone with more experience of heart conditions could probably give you better and more technically detailed info about this test.

Second, now that I've scared the crap out of you about tiny little heart attacks leading up to the big one, go tell your Primary doc that you've heard this from a reliable source (don't tell him/her where you really heard it) and that you're freaked out, and they need to test you.

At the very least, maybe you could try taking an SSRI for symptom relief while you're still exploring root causes? I think it was Carbonman or JNK who mentioned SSRIs in low doses being used for fibromyalgia relief?

Huggers,
Babs

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

hey there Snarjked
Good tip on the test! I did have an ECG/EKG last year during the titration, as well as some additional cardio test during the day (where I lay on a bed and they did.... an EKG. What's the difference??). It all checked out OK. It's probably just my paranoia, and as someone already mentioned, probably related to the computer work.

I'm gonna go to the Gastro doc first, then the nutritionist. Then if I still have holidays and/or energy left, I'll go for the heart checkup, and oh yeah maybe the Fibro too. I'm a regular medical cash-cow

Still not sure about taking SSRIs though....
