Encore Pro Reports - Can you Interpret?

Post by BeanMeScot » Sat Oct 25, 2008 1:22 pm

I am not sure how to interpret the reports I am getting from Encore Pro. Can someone take a look and tell me what all they see? Thanks!

Wow. Wish I had such results! And I've been at it for 2 months, so can't offer help here.....
I am completely baffled as to how you can have AHI of 2.1 and 2.2, and then on the last page show an Average AHI of 3.0???
DeVilbiss IntelliPap Std Plus with Smartflex; Transcend miniCPAP & Everest2 w/humidifier & batt for travel. UltraMirage FFM; PadACheeks; PaPillow. Using straight CPAP at 13.0/passover humidifier. AHI consistently < 1.5. Began CPAP 9/4/08.

I see a beautifully low leak rate, a nice low AHI, and a person who is lucky that such a comfy low pressure is all it takes to keep their airway open.

In short, BEAUTIFUL, just as myth said.

I think I can interpret that. It is averaging all data. The rest of the data is for just 2 days.

Cool. I was afraid I was missing something since I don't know how to interpret all the little details.

Can I say respironics math sucks? Have I ever said that before?

Hey take off your socks, the count might change

I'd think you would have to add up the total time slept for those 2 days and divide by number of events seen divided by 60 to come up with that average.
someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

I am glad someone understands respironics math - I sure don't.

Easy. 2.1 rounded UP is 3. 2.2 rounded up is 3. 3x2/2=3. Or maybe it's 2.1+2.2=4.3/2=2.15 rounded up to 3.

It's new math I tell ya.

Yep.....it's Respironics' "new math"......and it's just as as simple as the example you gave.
Any fractional number above a whole number gets rounded up to the next whole number. Even if you had a 0.1 and 0.2 AHI on two consecutive nights, it would still round them up to a 1.0 AHI on the summary reports.
