How do I empty the data card

Post by FoxNewsFan » Wed Oct 22, 2008 8:14 am

Hi Folks,
The LED screen in my VPAP says that the data card is full. I have saved all the info in ResScan and want to empty the data card and start over. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Ed

Bumping for Ed.

Hey you Resmed Freaks out there, help a sleepy guy out, willya?

Sorry Ed, I'm a Respironics Gal.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Thanks Babs,

If I don't find out how to empty it by bedtime, I'm going to put the full card in and see what it does.

Is there a format or erase command in the software? After using the save will it give you other options?

Yea maybe it will just write over the oldest data?

I doubt that utility from mycpap.org will work but it does have a format command. I have no idea what Resmed card reader even looks like.

Where's BB when you need him?

New data will overwrite the oldest - no need to delete anything or 'empty' the card.

Unfortunately it didn't overwrite. I guess I'll buy another 32MB card and see if that will work. Ed

I don't know about your machine but with the respironics, you need the pro software to clear the card. But it also writes over old data so this is probably not helpful.

Deerslayer,
I tried this program but it would not open or run. BUT, I found out how to empty my card. Listen up, ResMed people, go to Clinicians Menu, scroll down to options and choose erase data. YIPEEEE. Ed

Do that erase the data stored on the machine also or just the card?

Dear Guest2,
When I turn off my machine in the morning, the previous night's data is lost. If I want to see it on the LED screen, I have to look at it before turning off the machine. What I said in a previous post, erased the data on the card. Ed
