I went to bed at 10 pm - tossed and turned (as normal) until about 11 pm (I re-ramped once). I woke up around 2 am and used the bathroom (or at least one part of it). I went back to bed and slept until 5 am, then I got up (somewhat normal time). All-in-all, an average night. I checked the LCD on my M Series Pro and see that my 7 Day Avg. AHI reads 0.0 - does that mean I had none, or that since it was the first night there's no "7 Day" average? I don't have any software or a reader yet, so that's not an option... yet.
This morning, I feel... normal. I could go back to sleep if I was at home, but I'm not, so I won't. We'll see if I'm dragging by this afternoon.

That number is 'average hours per linght' in the last 7 days. When I started using mine a week ago, it read 7.5 on the first night.

Re: First Night on the Hose
It takes about ten minutes for my respironics machine to update the info after I get up in the morning. You might be checking it too soon.

Re: First Night on the Hose
eutychus, here's a way to reset the weekly/monthly info for AHI/leak back to zero each day. Then you can see just "last night's" data the next day.
How to reset the M series machine "weekly"/"monthly" details back to zero, in order to view just last night's results the next day:
viewtopic.php?p=239127#239127
viewtopic/t29141/Resetting-the-data-on-Respironics.html
Resetting that data involves accessing the therapy setup menu, of course. If you'd like to have the Provider Manual (clinical manual) for your M series Pro machine, just PM me your email address. Will be glad to send the manual to you as a PDF.

Re: First Night on the Hose
It's going to take awhile to get used to all the stuff. It took me about 6 weeks to get fully comfortable with everything. Be patient with yourself and don't sweat the bad nights too much. Keep asking questions and we'll help all we can.
Congratulations! One night down! The rest of your life to go!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

While I have an Auto instead of a PRO, I notice that you need to give the machine a couple of hours before your results are posted. Apparently, it has a delay to make sure you weren't on a lonnnnnnnng bathroom break, before it logs it.

I'm with Babs, it took me several months to get it all down. You're asking the right questions and sounds like you had a better first experience than many. Keep up the good work : )
My Respironics A-Flex also takes 10-15 minutes to record data to ensure I wasn't coming back to continue sleeping. I recommend you use the card reader and software to see how you're doing on a daily basis at first. Now I read weekly or even bi-weekly when I'm feeling rested and feel like I slept well. But at first I read my reports every day.
