Getting the lowest prices from cpap.com

Post by gasparama » Tue Oct 14, 2008 8:14 pm

I tried to search this issue, but managed to put in the wrong words and came up with very little info. Is it beneficial to contact cpap.com to in order to learn the lowest price offered for a Respironics or Remed product?

It's not my intension to raise a controversial issue, but a cushion that I need is advertised twice as high on cpap.com as what my local DME charges. I would much, much rather purchase from cpap.com just because I like dealing with these people who have so much integrity. The RT at the local place told me that he actually voted for forcing the internet providers to raise their minimal prices. That really doesn't do much to increase my confidence in these people.

I would, call them up, they also will match any price you find that is lower, you input where you found the lower price in the comments box, since they send you an email invoice before it ships, if your price match wasn't shown, they will correct it there.

Also, you can go to the website and click the button, they will email you the lower price.

On some items (Respironics, ResMed or Fisher & Paykel), there is an "arrow" to the right of the price that says "Get our price". On other items you might want to give them a call. If you have another (lower) price, they should match it or tell you why not.

Yes, by all means, support your local gunfighter, (oops meant DME). He can sell lower because he has tried the parts on everyone that came into his store. I like pretested parts, my BA & HM DAME, always sees that everything they send me is pretested. This gives me maximum exposure to germs and other contaminants, making me stronger as I fight off the extra bugs. CPAP.COM doesn't provide this service so I have to take my new products I get from them and take them opened to the doctor's office, the nurses hide them in the rooms of their sickest patients for a week. I pick them up and take them to a bar for another week sitting them under the counter. Then I take them home and use them, all broken in just like if I had got them from my local DME.

It's hard work but well worth it, according the my chest xray's, it looks like I have the lungs of a 80 year old, and I'll only be 64 next year. Jim

How come your DME didn't give the consumer a chance to vote, this is the U.S.A., give us the chance to VOTE,.... Twice.

Except in Flordia.

As I understand it, cpap.com's "price match" policy only applies to "adverised prices" where you can provide PROOF of that lower price. This is where the doggone MAP policies hurt us so bad. How do we ask for a "price match" on an "unadvertised sale price"???
