Re: about to toss this mask...
Thanks Craig, I think you are right. I tried my nasal pillow mask last night and it was like before...my eyes are all puffy, face is swollen, throat is sore...I don't feel very well right now. I need to seek some other type of mask.

Is the problem caused by the chin flap or the bottom of the mouthpiece?WearyOne wrote:Chin strap = lip flutter big time, plus headache.
The Liberty leaks on me like crazy, but fortunately, the Hybrid works very well. I just read the OP about the bumps on her/his face from the mask (not straps), and every morning without fail my chin looks like a ripe tomato for several hours because of the bottom of my Hybrid mask! (Well, maybe not THAT bad, but it seems like it. ) Doesn't hurt and no rash, just stupid looking! Thank goodness I work from home!
Thanks, though, for the suggestions!

I didn't see what the CAUSE of your marks is. If it's that the straps are too tight, have I got a solution for you.
You'll see folks on here singing the praises of Mack's silicon ear plugs. Go to Walgreens and pick up a pack. Roll that feller out until it's long enough to go around the inside rim of the mask (the part that seals on the face). It'll be about 1/2 to 2/3 the diameter of a chopstick. Press it gently into place on the mask, put the mask on, and press it against your face. You should then be able to loosen the straps enough to remove at least most of the marks. I may kid with them about owning stock in the company or something, but this stuff is AWESOME. It reminds me of the wax I used to wear on my dental braces 25 years ago to keep from chewing the inside of my lips up.
