ResMed Swift Nasal Pillow

Post by WillSucceed » Mon Dec 20, 2004 3:11 pm

If any of you have a ResMed Swift Nasal Pillow system, could you pleae check your manual and tell me what "mask type" setting you use on your machine? The choices on the Spirit are: "Mirage", "Miarage FF", "Standard" & "Modular".

Thanks!

Greetings Will,

For the Mirage Swift, you would set the Autoset Spirit mask type to Mirage. That would be the same for the Mirage Vista. The Ultra Mirage would be the Ultra setting.

Hope this helps,

T

Thanks for the reply!
What mask type setting would you use on the Spirit for the ResMed Activa?

Also, if you were useing the Respironics Comfort-Lite Nasal, (has a narrow tube that goes from the nasal interface to the main [6 foot] hose), what mask setting would you set on the Spirit?

Enquiring minds want to know!!

The Mirage Activa would use the "Mirage" setting.

Interesting! I just located the manual that came with the Activa. It says that the Spirit should be set to "standard" when using Activa.

Do you mind me asking where you got your information? Perhaps you have access to info that is more up-to-date than the manual.

Hi Will,

I got my information from a Resmed Rep, but that does not mean that it is correct, or that I interperated it correctly. if a manual says Standard, I would go standard.
