I'm not sure how I originally arrived at their web site, nomask.com(!), but the CPAP PRO is supposedly a new concept utilizing a boil 'n bite mouthpiece to hold 2 nasal "pillows" in place against the nostrils. Supposedly an alternative to traditional face masks, it certainly looks like it might be more comfortable.
I'm a mouth breather, so use a FF mask; traditional nasal masks just don't work for me. On their FAQ page, they suggest that mouth breathing patients may have to wear a chin strap with this apparatus, which would take away from its non-obtrusiveness some, but it still looks like it would be less obtrusive than a FF mask.
If you're not familiar with this device & would like to check it out, follow this link:

Just curious to know if anyone's tried this or is familiar with it before I head off on a wild goose chase looking for that ever elusive no-face-mask solution to CPAP.

Re: Anyone Familiar with "CPAP PRO"?
I guess it depends on why you're a mouth breather. I'm a mouth breather because for about half the year I've got seasonal allergies that make breathing though my nose impossible. While interesting I don't think that this would work for me because the only difference between this and a "tradional nasal mask" is that it's held in place by a mouthpiece instead of straps. If you can breathe through your nose and just are used to breathing through your mouth then I can see a chinstrap working with this.rpalmer wrote:

If you perform a search on this forum you will learn more about this product. I would advise doing this.

Great advice, Newsgrouper. I did that & the range of comments, pro & con, is kind of amazing. Certainly proof of what we all already know to be true - we're all different & what's good for one, may not be for another.Newsgrouper wrote:If you perform a search on this forum you will learn more about this product. I'm not sure I'm like Snowdog and can't breathe through my nose, but I sure breathe through my mouth most of the time, even when awake.
I appreciate everyone's response. I think at this point, I'll take a pass on the CPAP-Pro. Just too much $ for a pig in a poke, plus I'm a little put off that you can only buy it on their web site. Almost smacks of being shady.

Money Back Guarantee
My sleep doc recommended nomask.com. He said the mask had a money back guarantee. I looked at the site and the money back guarantee is good only if you return the mask unopened... lol. Not too sure how valuable of a guarantee that is.
