I agree with WillSuceed. I'm very interested in trying the Resmed Spirit myself. As mentioned previously I'm also not sure the Respironics algorithm is beneficial to me. If you can try out the various machines, and figure out how to evaluate their perfomance before buying, go for it. Might be easier said than done though.

Sarkel will note all of Rested Gal's picks have software that provides morning after feedback.

While you are testing out ones, as RestedGal mentioned the Spirit allows you to access data on the machine without software. While you can't see hour by hour impact on a graph you can track daily high pressure, AHI, AI and HI. I have the software but don't find I need much more than the display data to do my tweaking.

Just a thought, as the DME might get you the machine but won't dare part with the precious mystical software.

For Sarkel

Sarkel, I'm no expert on this but most folks try to keep their AHI under 5. Mine is now running at 1 or less. I have no idea what my satox number is but I would expect from previous tests it stays in the 90's. You need to find a sleep doctor you can trust and who will work with you.
