Okay, so if you don't know what it takes to be a Production Manager in the theatre world, the first thing you have to know about us, is that we are totally anal about lists (though that doesn't necessarily make us smart) . I didn't really analyze the lists, but I wen through all 12 pages and wrote down people's responses to see if anything stuck out...

don't get upset if you are not in here, I did have 12 pages to go thru afterall, and so combined certain types of jobs, for example, Engineering. As those in the field know, there are MANY types of engineering, electrical, computer, etc etc. I also didn't list it if it you said that once in college you worked at a bookstore or something, only if you indicated it as a career. I also may simply have missed some.

If there is no number after the job, that means only one person claimed it.

Here goes, it is a LONG list...
Teacher (all levels and abilities) (10)
Hospice/Nurse/Caregiver (8)
Full time childraiser/home-maker as PRIMARY job (6)
Technician (each person in this category had a different job) (6)
Engineer (5)
Entertainment (Singer/Actor/Musician or management thereof) (5)
Retired/Volunteer (5)
Office Manager/Executive Assistant (4)
Farmer/Farmers Spouse (4)
Animal Trainer (3)
Human Resources (3)
Lawyer (3)
Marketing/PR/Customer Relations (3)
Child Daycare (other than your own kids) (3)
Military (3)
Web/Network administration (2)
Accounting/Banking (2)
Sports (coaching or management) (2)
Architect (2)
Social Worker (2)
Archeology/Surveying (2)
Department of Defense (2) though I think 1 was Canadian, 1 USA
Ministry
Telecommunications
Sales
Waste Management
Dispatch
Legal Secretary/paralegal
TV/Film production
Molecular geneticist (I only write what I see)
Insurance Agent
Linguist
Speech Pathologist
Marine Ecotoxicologist
Bartender
Antiques Dealer
Animator
Cartographer
Psychologist
Karate Teacher
Writer
Artist
Nursery (plant) owner
Mathematician
Automotive Management
Chef
Carpenter

Pretty darn amazing huh? And other than generally high stress jobs, especially you teachers, and caregivers, nurses, etc, a personal "Yay to you!" from this author, there doesn't seem to be a lot in common, but if anyone else wishes to analyze further, be my guest.

Thanks for indulging...

The number after the hospice/caregiver et al should be 8. The computer read it as an emoticon.

Wow!! Yes, it is amazing!

What a diverse group of people we are! We, as a group, are leading active and productive lives in many different ways. Most importantly, we are continually helping each other out. My personal feelings are that we are among some very good friends.

Strange isn't it-- that OSA has brought us all together as a group. That we have in common, plus our desire to help each other.

Quest, thank you for analyzing the "Curiosity" posts!
