Sleep study back, leads to questions

Post by MoSleep » Mon Jul 11, 2005 6:49 pm

Hi

I got the Dr. report on the second and third sleep study today. As I had anticipated CSA is severe. Have Dr consult in a couple of weeks. The study used a couple of terms I am not familiar with. Hope someone will educate me. The report refers to frequent PVC's and PAC's also sinus bradycardia. What are they referring to?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave, those are terms for some cardiac issues it seems that you may be having..

.PVC:premature ventircular contraction
PAC: premature atrial contraction
Bradycardia: slow heart rate (I think!) Google them and you may get more information.

As I understand it it is very common to have both PVCs and PACs and they are generally benign.

But I am sure your doc will give you info and if needed refer you to a cardiologist

Don't stress out over this, look it up and you will find lots of information on the net.
