cflex feature on PBGK?

Post by Flower51 Terry » Thu Jul 07, 2005 9:40 pm

My rt said that PB has the same feature as the respironics cflex, but hasn't chosen to market it as a special feature. Do you think she meant a bilevel because bilevels have two settings, or is she referring to straight PB cpap? T

Unless she knows something we haven't heard of yet, I'd bet she's thinking of the new ResMed S8 "Escape" cpap machine coming out soon. Ask her if she meant to say "ResMed".

The new ResMed machine will have an exhalation pressure reduction feature -- I think ResMed's feature is called "EPR". It will be similar to C-Flex, and like C-Flex, can be turned on or not.

Flower,
You might want to get some clarification from her? PB is developing a BiPAP machine with back-up function that will be marketed yet this year (I hope!)

C-flex type of feature would be more useful with a CPAP or AutoPAP.

Sounds like she might be a bit confused by all this new technology
